Mission of Fimiam Church
«Bring people to Christ,
join them to God’s family through baptism,
where everybody will grow spiritually,
serve others
and worship God in all things!»
Goals of Fimiam church
And He said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:37-41
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
Biblical goals for our church are drawn from the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of Christ:
². “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart” – we worship
Practical ways to achieve this goal:
• Daily Bible reading (Matthew 26:41)
• Participation in church services (Hebrews 10:25)
• Living a godly life which will result in a good testimony about the church (Philippians 1:27)
• Participation in regular tithes and freewill offerings (Leviticus 27:30, 1 Corinthians 16:2)
Church becomes stronger through worship.
II. “Love your neighbor …” - we serve each other
Practical ways to achieve this goal:
• Show sincere concern for brothers and sisters by serving them and doing good deeds (1 Peter 4:10)
• Take responsibility in ministry (Philemon.2:3-4)
• Establish and develop spiritual gifts and talents in ministry (1 Peter 4:11-12)
Church becomes wider through ministry
III. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations ...” – we evangelize
Practical ways to achieve this goal:
• Personal testimony about Christ to unbelievers by inviting them to church services and small groups; wrapping them up with love and attention (Matthew 28:19; Luke 14:23; Romans 15:7)
• Prayer for revival among people and the growth of the church (1 Timothy 2:1)
Church becomes larger through evangelism
²V. “baptizing them...” - brotherly fellowship
Practical ways to achieve this goal:
• Active membership to home groups (Acts 2:46, 5:42)
• Preservation of peace and unity of the church, discarding gossip and condemnation (Romans 14:19; 1 Peter 1: 22; Ephesians 4:29)
• Humility and obedience to church ministers (Hebrew 13:17)
Church becomes warmer through fellowship
V. “Teaching them to observe all ...” - discipleship
Practical ways to achieve this goal:
• Individual training and collaboration with other Bible study groups, Bible courses, reaching spiritual maturity (Ephesians 4:12-13)
Church becomes deeper through discipleship
